Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
FitCalc (at fitcalc.dev) offers free health and fitness calculators. Health information is personal. We think it should stay that way. This policy explains our approach to your data, which can be summed up simply: your body measurements, fitness stats, and health data never leave your device.
Health Data Stays on Your Device
When you enter your weight, height, age, body measurements, activity level, or any other personal metric into a FitCalc tool, that information is processed entirely within your web browser. Our calculators use JavaScript that runs locally on your device. Nothing you type is sent to a server, stored in a database, or shared with any third party.
This applies to every tool on the site -- BMI calculations, TDEE estimates, calorie deficit planning, macro breakdowns, body fat estimates, heart rate zones, and all the rest. The numbers you enter and the results you receive exist only in the browser tab where you are using them.
Why This Matters for Fitness Data
Health and body metrics are among the most sensitive categories of personal information. Your weight, body fat percentage, calorie targets, and pregnancy-related dates are things you might not want anyone else to know about. We designed FitCalc so that you do not have to trust us with that information, because we never see it in the first place.
Browser Storage
FitCalc uses your browser's localStorage to enhance your experience. Specifically, we may store:
- Your preferred measurement system (metric or imperial)
- Display preferences such as theme settings
- A list of recently used tools for convenient navigation
- Tools you have marked as favorites
This information is kept only in your browser. We have no mechanism to read or access it remotely. You can delete all stored data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data for fitcalc.dev.
Shareable Calculation Links
Certain calculators let you generate a shareable link that encodes your inputs in the URL hash. This feature exists so you can, for example, send a macro split to your training partner or share a pace calculation with your running group. The hash portion of the URL stays in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. Do be aware, though, that anyone who receives the link can see the values it contains -- so think before sharing links that include data like your weight or body measurements.
No Registration Required
FitCalc does not have user accounts. There is no sign-up form, no email collection, and no profile system. We do not know who you are when you use the site, and we prefer it that way. You can use every calculator on FitCalc without providing any personal information beyond what the calculator itself needs to produce a result.
Cookies and Advertising
FitCalc does not use first-party cookies or tracking scripts. We do not run analytics services that monitor your behavior on the site.
We may display advertisements via Google AdSense to cover hosting and development costs. Google AdSense may set third-party cookies for ad personalization. You can control your ad personalization settings at Google Ad Settings or opt out of personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
Third-Party Resources
FitCalc loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, basic technical information like your IP address may be shared with Google. No other third-party services are involved in the operation of our calculators.
Updates
We may update this privacy policy as our site evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
